This large kitchen (240 SqFt) is in an open concept new custom home. The home was designed with generous proportions to suit a family of five.
Simplicity in the room design and the cabinet configurations permitted a very functional room for cooking and entertaining. The classic work triangle is relatively small for such a large room. Tall items were clustered together and installed in a lit drywall niche. This dramatic design language was repeated for the wine niche, the cooking niche and the dish storage.
A total of 57.44 SqFt of countertops gave plenty of room for serious food preparation.
A very comfortable wood bar top is set nearly flush to the rest of the island top. The colour of the wood top is repeated for the fridge and wine area cabinets. The back painted glass backsplash is a simple compliment to the dramatic custom hood.
