This kitchen was designed for a family that have a passionate part-time chef as their dad. Every aspect of cooking and baking are a form of relaxation here, and this passion is what drove all of the decisions in the creation of this kitchen.
To begin with, the room needed some minor reconfiguration with the placement of the door to the family room and a new larger window. A professional style range is the focal point of passion for cooking and of the room. It is complemented by a stainless fridge and a second oven. Above the second oven are stainless pocket doors that open to reveal a microwave and bread maker. The stainless motif is repeated in the wine fridge and range hood.
The two-tone kitchen is comprised of dark walnut combined with cream lacquer for the uppers and dish pantry. Complimentary glass mosaic tiles are a dramatic accent.
The relocation of the door to the family room gave rise to an interesting table and banquette area, and a practical desk area behind.
