A very beautiful garden with extensive landscaping, a pool, and an impressive home are the backdrop for this housing detail.
The client was looking to upgrade their “outdoor bar” located in the pool cabana. The cabana itself has strong architectural merit and required that our design blend in to the existing. The cabana is screened in and covered with a roof, but otherwise exposed. This required that the material selection have weather durability. We chose to do the cabinets in red cedar to match the cabana. Countertops were made from durable soapstone in an oil finish. An elevated eating bar is made from reclaimed wood, stained dark and oiled. Custom, wrought-iron bar supports co-ordinate with wrought-iron furniture. The final attention to detail is the custom cedar container for the waste bin.
The overall result is a design that respects the environment it is in and serves the client well for entertaining in style.
