Best of Show – Bath – NKBA Interior Design Awards 2013
First Place – Powder Rooms, NKBA Interior Design Awards 2013
This elegant powder room is in a home where minimalist design aesthetic was blended with warm comfort.
The driftwood coloured floor is consistent throughout the home and set the tone for the colour palette everywhere, included this powder room.
This very strong “bridge” design for the vanity is elsewhere in the house, most notably in the kitchen. This strong design form creates function but keeps the room feeling larger by not using fronts on the cabinetry.
The rich walnut coloured oak is perfectly complemented by the blue/grey glass tiles, and the grey countertop is in harmony with the flooring.
A “floating” mirror with lighting below is large and simple, and the hand-made glass pendant lights complete this artful room.

Friedemann and his team helped us design two homes from the inside out. We involved him from the planning stages and are so happy that we did. In both cases, the final result was better than we had imagined and we know that we would not have been as satisfied had we not worked with Friedemann. His attention to detail is amazing. On our projects, he did not settle with a design until he was sure and so were we that it was the best possible design. He also insured that every detail was built out according to plan. We are grateful for all the time and effort he put in to helping us. We couldn't have done it without him!
