She wanted a kitchen that was inviting and practical – and worried that a very large room would be daunting and difficult to work in. Nevertheless, the kitchen had to fit in with the rest of this very large home. This space provided just one and a half walls to accommodate the client’s need for substantial cupboard storage. The Tuscan character of the home is reflected in regal yet inviting cabinetry and traditional detailing that adds warmth. An inset ceiling creates depth and draws the eye upward.
